How do I get started with Sound Medicine?

Are you interested in Sound Medicine but don't know where to begin? Would you like to delve into the subject and are considering training in Sound Medicine, but first want to get your bearings? This article will help you gain clarity on the matter, as you can follow step-by-step instructions on how to progress.

Step 1 - Educate Yourself About Sound Medicine:

Build a solid knowledge foundation by reading books, researching articles, and watching videos to learn more about Sound Therapy, Sound Medicine, or Sound Healing. I've created a list of my favorite books on these topics, which you can access here.

Step 2 - Participate in a Crystal Singing Bowl Sound Meditation (Online or In-Person):

Experience a transformative meditation with sounds and feel the impact of the frequencies of crystal singing bowls on you. You'll be able to relax both physically and mentally. For example, you can easily participate in my sound meditations with AkashaBowls® through the membership platform, either through recorded meditation videos or by joining live sessions regularly. Click here for more information.

Step 3 - Acquire Crystal Singing Bowls:

You can start with one or two crystal singing bowls that you initially use just for yourself. The size of the singing bowls is not crucial; it's important that their sounds resonate with you. You'll feel it when you've found the right singing bowls for you. When making a purchase, pay attention to the sound quality, as it plays a significant role in the positive effects of sound meditations. It's best to listen to the singing bowls in person and have them individually selected so that you end up with a tailored set that suits you perfectly. You're welcome to seek advice from me and schedule an appointment. This can be done not only in person at my showroom in Munich but also online. Feel free to send me a message via email (info@lisaschuster.com) or Instagram (@soundbyalizz).

Step 4 - Deepen Your Knowledge of Sound Medicine:

Learn the fundamentals of sound medicine, including the effects of sounds on the body and mind. Understand how sound is used for relaxation, healing, and meditation. For this purpose, my certified courses at the Sound Medicine Institute Germany are ideal. There, you'll learn everything about Sound Medicine based on scientific insights, as well as the practical use of crystal singing bowls, the AkashaBowls®. If this interests you, you can find more information here.

Step 5 - Practice:

Begin with simple practical exercises to explore the sound of the bowls. Learn how to play them correctly to produce harmonious tones. Be creative and experiment with different combinations of sound instruments. You can find all of this information in my certified courses, as mentioned above.

Step 6 - Further Education:

If you want to dive even deeper into Sound Medicine, consider enrolling in an advanced course offered by my institute. For example, after the 20h Level 1 course, there's the 20h Level 2 course. Or you can take the 12-week course, which is equivalent to 90h. Click here to access the current course offerings.

Step 7 - Networking and Exchange:

Look for like-minded individuals in the field of Sound Medicine to exchange experiences and learn from others. Or support others on their journey of working with sound. By participating in the courses offered by the Sound Medicine Institute Germany, you will definitely connect with like-minded individuals and become part of the sound community.

In conclusion, working with crystal singing bowls and Sound Medicine can be a personal journey. Everyone finds their own way to integrate these practices into their lives and use them to promote well-being and healing.
