Our Voice – A Powerful Instrument
To treat ourselves with sound, it is not necessary to have an instrument. Because our voice is one of the most powerful instruments in sound healing. The great thing is that we always have it with us, and we can access it, regardless of where we are.
Our voice is directly connected to our emotions. So, I think we can all remember how we once got hurt or even experienced physical trauma, that in such situations we moan and make sounds to bring us relief. Our voice serves as a natural painkiller in this process.
In the field of Sound Healing, there are different methods to use our voice. We have the possibility to sing mantras or songs, to chant or to make sounds. Especially the last mentioned can be used wonderfully for healing with singing bowls.
When we sound, we bring different parts of the body to vibrate at the same time. This in turn is a powerful way to access and release our emotions. By using our voice, we also activate our vagus nerve, which helps us to relax. Our voice can alter our state of consciousness and reconnect neural connections.
Through sound, we can create balance and health within ourselves.
The combination of sound and voice is not about entertainment, but about entrainment. Sound healing is not about performing with a beautiful voice, but about creating a powerful sound field with our vocal cords that resonates with the human body and creates balance within.
To create a sound field with our voice, we can use the following techniques.
✨ Singing: melodic and rhythmic repetitions of tones, mantras, or songs.
✨ Chanting: rhythmic repetitions of tones, mantras, or songs
✨ Sounding: meditative sound production, the sound is produced with the exhalation
✨ Guiding: Guiding participants through a journey with the voice
