Binaural Beat

Binaural Beats

What are binaural beats and how do they affect our bodies?

"The phenomenon in which, through the simultaneous playing of

two sounds with slightly different frequencies -

usually one in each ear - through headphones, an acoustic illusion is created, in which the brain perceives a sound with a third

frequency, which represents the difference between the two

separate frequencies."

That pretty much describes how binaural beats are created.

Binaural beats have several advantages, and the most important one is

certainly, again, the downshifting of our brainwaves. Other benefits include:

- Balancing between the right and left hemispheres of the brain.

- Helps with sleep disorders

- Deeper sleep

- More concentration

- Pain relief

- More creativity

- Easier access to meditation

- Lucid dreaming/astral travel

Because these benefits are similar to sound mediation, binaural beats are often part of an effective sound session.

When used correctly, they help prevent stress, alleviate stress, and promote our deep relaxation. Thus, binaural beats are also used in the treatment of depression and acute anxiety and have a beneficial effect on the entire system.

Creating binaural beats with singing bowls:

Singing bowls, especially the handmade AkasahBowls® tend to carry many harmonics and overtones. By playing two or more bowls, chosen in a certain way, you can create binaural beats. A good way would be to choose bowls that are note-wise close together or that have the same notes but different cents!
