How to make the most of your (Gong) Sound Bath experience?
Have you tried a Gong Meditation yet? What would be the difference to Sound Baths with Crystal Singing Bowls or Tibetan Bowls and how can you make the best use of such a purposeful event in your life?
Within “gong” is “ong”, the syllable of universal creative power and wisdom. Gong sounds are a powerful tool for authentic personal transformation, yet how does this work?
The circle shaped metal plates vibrate on our planet since the Bronze age and have been used in special ceremonies ever since. Participants comment that gong sounds have a heightened intensity compared to singing bowls. Played intuitively by the facilitator, the remarkable vibrations of the sounds of the universe gently resonate through your body and being. Angelic bowl sounds (like the AkashaBowls®) will round up the experience and provide a smooth pathway as you reconnect into the 3D world.
Gong sounds are called living tones as they have a dynamic of their own: The sound waves of the rich vibrations interact with each other in the air, creating fascinating overtones and sound phenomena way beyond the logic of our monkey minds.
As you breathe deeply and relax, gong vibrations will help you quit overthinking, just as you know it from crystal and tibetan singing bowls. You enter a flow state and connect to your personal source within, where everything can unfold for you from a place of being you.
How do you benefit most from a (Gong) Sound Bath Experience?
Come as you are. No matter if things are being easy or just really hard at the moment, embrace everything as it is and gift yourself this moment as an expression of your self-care. Get yourself all the wool socks, cushions and blankets you need to feel spoiled and cozy at all times.
Just be. Sometimes this is so easily said but all you need to do is rest comfortably on a mat, close your eyes for a moment and receive. An eye cover might help you to relax even deeper.
Each Gong Meditation is absolutely unique. Your body and senses can react in different ways: you might relax deeply, receive an answer, see beautiful colors in front of your inner eye, anything is possible in a Sound Bath. Whatever happens for you, most probably it’s exactly what takes you to your next step on your personal journey.
Hydrate. Make sure to drink extra water after the Sound Meditation as this helps you to come back into the flow - as in any moment of life ;)
Surrender. Sometimes we have so many wishes and expectations and sometimes we couldn’t even have imagined what is actually possible for us. Trust that everything is happening for you. The more that you gift yourself the moment to let go and relax fully, the more can flow towards you.
