What is the CCCC Rule in Sound Therapy and Sound Medicine approaches?

It’s a rule the founder of the Sound Medicine Institute Germany (MD Lisa Schuster) created to make the essentials of working with sounds, especially those from crystal singing bowls more accessible:

Compassion, Curiosity, Creativity, Connection

(Words by Verena Magdalena who is a teacher in the Sound Medicine Institute Germany in Vienna)

Compassion with ourselves and others, with how we are, our own experiences and emotions, compassionate towards the clients reactions, knowing it is their own experience and has nothing to do with us personally, compassion with what arises.

Compassion with what happens during a sound meditation - what it can bring up, how people can react, how it feels and what it stirs up in us and our clients.

Curiosity for life - wanting to learn and evolve, being curious about others and their experience and being open to learning and experiencing different things - being curious about what sound can do and all the things we see and learn through being in the sound medicine field, always learning, always evolving, researching what is new in the sound medicine field!

Creativity - allowing ourselves to flow - being creative with our setup, with what we bring to the people, not sticking to the rules without allowing ourselves to flow - bringing new things to sound healing, allowing new ideas to arise- new combinations and guided visualizations... allowing to bring our own creativity to sound healing!

Connection - connecting with the instruments, priming them with opening our tears to them, meditating with them, paying attention how they communicate with us, connecting to the field we generate in a sound healing session, the energetic in the room and the energetic of the people, feeling into the group energy, attuning to what is going on, then letting go and asking for the highest good with a neutral state, balance, harmony, connecting with our heart, our own body our experience and being ok with it!

This is the CCCC-Rule explained by one of the teachers of the Sound Medicine Institute Germany. This rule got created by Medical Doctor Lisa Schuster who is specialised in the field of Sound Medicine and created her own approaches and techniques especially with the outstanding AkashaBowls® handmade crystal singing bowls.
