What is the difference between an affirmation and a mantra?

This is a very exciting question, because at first glance you might think that the two are one and the same.

After all, they are supposed to help us become more resilient and mentally empowered, also they are supposed to help us set our focus and calm our thoughts so that we can reach deeper brainwave frequencies, that help us harmonize the body.

This may be true, but affirmations and mantras are still two fundamentally different things!

Affirmations are a "tool" to address the mind directly and condition the mind. With certain phrases that we repeat over and over (such as "I am strong or I am loving!") we work directly on our mind on a CONSCIOUS level. We can only create affirmations for ourselves here and use them to work on issues and beliefs that are in our conscious mind.

And here comes a crucial difference with the mantra:

The mantra works on both conscious and UNCONSCIOUS levels. We want to go beyond the mind with it and transform unconscious destructive behaviors and thoughts through the frequencies that these ancient mantras contain. They will thereby automatically transform our cognitive structures in a very powerful way.

Affirmations are not bad at all, of course, they have their positive effects as described above. However, they are simply not as profoundly transformative as mantras and can not work on as many different levels as they do. Just only on the conscious, mental level, which the corresponding affirmation addresses.
